EVENING MANAGER — FRONT OF HOUSE

About the Role
As Evening Manager at Holmen Husky Lodge, you own the lodge from 15:00 until close. Guests return from the trail cold and hungry — you check them in, run dinner service in the Barn, manage the bar, and make sure every guest ends their day properly looked after. You work largely independently. There is no manager above you in the building after 15:00.
Your Main Responsibilities
- Welcome arriving guests and complete check-ins via Checkfront
- Run à la carte dinner service in the Barn from 17:00 — local meat and fish, full dining room of overnight guests
- Manage bar service — wine, beer, soft drinks
- Coordinate the sauna and jacuzzi booking schedule for guests
- Handle any guest needs or issues through the evening
- Close the lodge at the end of each night in good order
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in restaurant service, front of house, or hospitality management
- Warm and confident with international guests of all ages
- Able to run a dining room and a reception desk simultaneously without either suffering
- Comfortable using booking systems — we use Checkfront, training provided
- Reliable and professional working independently through evening hours
Trial Period
All new crew members begin with a one-month trial period. This allows both you and the team to evaluate whether the role and lifestyle are a good fit. You'll work alongside experienced team members, gradually taking on more responsibility while receiving regular feedback and support.
Life at Holmen
The lodge runs seasonally:
- Autumn (September–November): Preparation, onboarding, and pre-season setup
- Winter (November–April): Full tour and lodge season — the kitchen runs at full capacity
- Spring/Summer (April–August): Off-season rest and recovery
