This experience is designed for guests who have already been dog sledding with us and are ready to take the next step into the world of mushing.
Instead of the larger guest sleds used on our introductory tours, you’ll head out on smaller race sleds, just like the ones we use in training and competitions. There are no passengers on this tour. Each participant drives their own team as a musher, learning how to work with the dogs and handle the sled in a more authentic way.
It’s a more technical, hands-on experience that brings you closer to the real rhythm of dog sledding.
Where our classis tour offers a taste of mushing, this tour goes deeper. You’ll learn more about sled control, trail awareness, and the teamwork between musher and dogs.
Small groups ensure personal guidance from experienced mushers throughout the journey. Along the trail we share insights from years of training and racing Alaskan Huskies, giving you a glimpse into what it truly means to be a musher.
Expect a more dynamic ride, a closer connection with the dogs, and a deeper understanding of life on the trail.

Additional Information
Alaskan huskies are polar animals and weather conditions, specifically warm temperatures, create situations unsafe for them to run in. Holmen Husky, therefore, reserves the right to cancel trips if the temperatures become unsuitable for our dogs. The weather can be extreme at times in this part of the world and we reserve the right to change an itinerary or cancel a trip if the conditions appear to be unsafe.
