The excursion begins in Alta's Fiskerihavna (harbor).

The King Crab gets caught in a "pot," a box-shaped trap, which is then raised out of the water and placed on the boat. You can watch the experienced skipper in action. You can hold the King Crab gently and take pictures with it once it is on board. The experienced guide will let you in on local secrets and tell you stories revolving around the King Crab and history of the area.

Warm coveralls and life jackets will be provided to you at the meeting location.
